Fuel Contamination Overview
Fuelcare Technical Services Fuelcare offer an array of technical services specific to your fuel application. We offer onsite testing services, the supply of self-test dipslides and fuel sample testing in our state of the art laboratories. For any clarification or enquiries on our services please contact us. Onsite Fuel Testing Services Inevitably, good housekeeping practices with six-monthly or annual microbiological analyses will minimise the risks of fuel contamination. However, where the presence of contamination is suspected, Fuelcare technicians can visit your site to provide sampling and treatment services. Even where there is limited access to underground tanks or lack of drain points, our trained staff will be able to quickly and effectively check for contamination and then organise a treatment solution to your fuel contamination problems. Consultancy Fuelcare are available for site visits. Our professional team of consultants are trained in the tell-tale signs of fuel contamination as well as fuel sampling practices. We are available on daily rates to visit across the UK and advise contamination on curation & prevention techniques and measures. Self Test Dipslides Fuelcare supply small self test dipslides for the continual monitoring of your fuel. These can be purchased online on our website and in packs of 10. These are recommended for instances where there is no clear problem with your fuel, but instead there is the potential for contamination and checks must be made continually. The dipslides can be dipped into a fuel sample, incubated in a supplied tube for 3 days and contamination then measured against a chart provided with the pack. Laboratory Testing Services Where detailed information on your fuel is required, Fuelcare can provide a full, professional lab testing service for your Fuel. Our standard laboratory examination includes: • Total viable Bacteria count The costs for lab testing are £60 per sample and results take typically 12-14 days for incubation in our laboratories. FQA System Our new Fuelcare FQA (Fuel Quality Analysis) system tracks your fuel quality data and provides and quantitative and graphical analysis of your reports. The system shows all the historical records for your samples and how they compare historically. FAME (Biodiesel) Testing Services If you need a test performed on the FAME content of your fuel, Fuelcare can come to your service. Our FAME tests are carried out to the highest ASTM standards. The costs are £195 per sample.
